Sara C. Moreno, M.A.
Laboratory Manager and Zooarchaeologist
Ms. Moreno has field and laboratory experience in multiple geographic regions, including southern California and the Mayan lowlands of Central America. Her responsibilities at BFSA include supervision of archaeological laboratory employees, interns, and activities; vertebrate faunal analysis; field identification of human remains; database development; report writing; and educational outreach.
She also acts as liaison with the Information Centers of the California Historical Resources File System, the San Diego Archaeological Center, and various Native American groups in southern California regarding archaeological collection curation.
